Improving the fit between the priorities of managers, their direct reports, and their supervisors—all the way up to the CEO—is a good place to start. A McKinsey Quarterly article. (A personal approach to organizational time management.

Roger Lewis's insight:
Peter Bregman's Six Boxes approach is a useful way to translate Annual Goals into incremental accomplishment. The point of this article however, is the goal alignment that occurs when the Six Box system is allowed to cascade down through management levels. It is well worth a trial. After all, the value here lies not in an intellectual assent to the concept, but the experiential knowledge it brings. Here Time Mangement is measured by the quality of aligned priorities everyone has. Not a bad measurement!
